What We Believe

We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired and infallible Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, and preserved by God’s providential care.

We believe the covenant of redemption was set forth from infinites past and is a covenant between God and Himself. After the Fall, God made known His covenant of grace with His elect people, promising to deliver them from sin and misery through a Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, was buried, and rose bodily on the third day to reconcile us to God. He is now exalted at the right hand of God, interceding for His people.

We believe in the local church, a congregation of baptized believers associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word.

We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, symbolizing the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of Christ’s death and a means of grace, in which believers, by faith, partake of the body and blood of Christ.

We believe that church discipline is an essential aspect of maintaining the purity and integrity of the church. It is a process commanded by Christ for addressing sin within the congregation, aiming at the restoration of the sinner, the protection of the church's holiness, and the honor of Christ's name. Discipline involves private and public admonition and, if necessary, exclusion from the fellowship of the church, in accordance with the steps outlined in Scripture. This process is undertaken in a spirit of love and gentleness, seeking repentance and reconciliation, while affirming the seriousness of sin and the need for the church to reflect Christ's holiness.

We believe that marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, intended to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. It reflects the relationship between Christ and His Church and is designed for companionship, mutual help, and the bearing and rearing of children. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed kept pure. We affirm that marriage is a divine institution for the good of humanity, promoting stability and love within the family and society. Husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loves the church, and wives are called to respect and submit to their husbands as the church submits to Christ.

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is to be valued and protected from conception until natural death. We uphold the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, recognizing that life is a gift from God and should be respected and preserved. We affirm that every person, regardless of age, ability, or stage of development, bears the image of God and deserves to be treated with love, respect, and care. We oppose practices that devalue or endanger human life, including abortion, euthanasia, and any form of unjust violence or harm. As followers of Christ, we are called to advocate for and protect the most vulnerable among us, promoting a culture that honors the sanctity of life in all its stages.
